The maker’s instructions are the starting point for caring for your particular suit.
Know the materials
Foam, fur, paint, glue and electronics need different care. Ask which parts can be washed, brushed or detached. Do not assume a cleaning method used on another suit is suitable for yours.
After an outing
Follow the maker’s cleaning and drying steps. Give parts enough space to dry fully before closing them in storage. Keep a small record of damage or repairs so it is easier to explain a problem later.
Storage and transport
Choose containers that protect the shape without crushing delicate features. Keep electronics and detachable parts organized. Photograph the packed arrangement so you can repack safely when returning from an event.
